Seiver Binks His Double
On a flop, Scott Seiver check-raised all in for his last 210,000. Humberto Brenes was stuck in the middle of the three-way action, and he tanked for a long while before folding. Mike McDonald made the call, though, and Seiver was at risk as the cards were turned up.
"Ace-jack with the ace of spades?" Seiver read his opponent's hand. It was , and that meant that Seiver's had him as a favorite to double up. The turn gave McDonald a few more outs, but the river was a blank and a safe card for the at-risk Seiver.
McDonald has been parted with about a third of his stack, while Seiver doubles his way back into contention with just over a half-million chips.
On the heels of that double, Seiver proceeded to win the next three pots with uncontested preflop raises to chip his way up even further.
