Buchanan Near the Felt

When we walked up to Table 2, Shawn Buchanan had 55,500 chips out in front of him on a four-bet, and Yevgeniy Timoshenko had five-bet shoved for 130,500 from the small blind. By now, Buchanan was hating life, and he made sure of the amount before making the crying call for nearly all his own chips.

Showdown
Buchanan: {9-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}
Timoshenko: {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

Buchanan needed to see a lot of red or a nine in a hurry in order to earn the knockout, but his outs would miss. Timoshenko's overpair held on the {J-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {6-Hearts} {K-Spades} board, and he smashes the double to bounce back over his starting stack.

For Buchanan, things have gone south in a hurry. He's left with just 30,500 chips and a frown, and Bucky won't be able to wait long before committing that remainder.
