Daniel Shiff Eliminated in 12th Place ($85,000)
It's apparently going to be a game of leapfrog atop the chip counts, and Kyle Julius has just jumped back to the front.
It was Martin Jacobson who opened the pot, though he'd not make it past the flop. Julius (button) and Daniel Shiff (big blind) both called, and the dealer spread out , and it checked to Julius. He bet 175,000, but Shiff check-raised to 350,000, and that's what shook Jacobson out of the way. The call came from Julius, though, and the paired the board on the turn. Check-check.
On the river, the drew a leading bet of 200,000 from Shiff, leaving just about that much behind, too. Julius insta-announced an all-in raise, and Shiff was looking pretty miserable about this time. He had little choice but to call though, and the news was not good. Julius showed up , and Shiff flashed his worthless as he spun them into the muck.
It's the end of the line for Shiff, and he'll stop by the cashier to pick up a check for $85,000 on his way out the door.
