Bilokur Outkicks Duhamel

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Leonid Bilokur raised to 60,000 from the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Jonathan Duhamel called from the big blind with {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and both checked. The {8-Clubs} hit the turn and Bilokur's bet of 81,000 was called by Duhamel, landing the {K-Hearts} on the river. They cheked it down and Bilokur took the pot with his better kicker.

Bilokur Smashes a Huge Double

Leonid Bilokur opened with a raise to 52,000 holding {J-Clubs} {J-Spades}, and the action came to Jason Koon in the small blind. When we saw that he was dealt {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}, we knew the fireworks were coming, and the chip leader three-bet to 165,000. Bilokur took pause to make sure, then four-bet all in for 1.274 million total.

"I call," Koon said without much inflection as the decision essentially made itself. Bilokur was at-risk, but he was a slight favorite to drag the huge pot with his pocket pair.

The {5-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} flop was clean for Bilokur's jacks, but Koon picked up some outs as the {4-Diamonds} turned him a wheel draw. He was drawing to an ace, king, or trey for the knockout, but the {10-Spades} river was a blank.

With a pump of the fist, Bilokur has doubled his way into the chip lead!

Chop It Up

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Nicolas Fierro opened to 51,000 under the gun with {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Jonathan Duhamel called from the big blind with {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Duhamel checked it to Fierro who bet 64,000. Duhamel called to see the {7-Clubs} turn and checked it to Fierro again. After a few moments Fierro fired 132,000. Another call from Duhamel led to the {3-Clubs} river which both players checked.

They each got a chuckle and chopped the pot.

Haxton Thinks Better of It

Jason Koon raised to 52,000 under the gun, and he was working with {8-Spades} {5-Spades}. In the cutoff seat, Isaac Haxton flatted with {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}, and they went heads-up to the flop.

It came {2-Clubs} {K-Spades} {10-Hearts}, and Koon continued out with another 64,000. Haxton had the nut middle pair, but he spent a few long minutes in the tank, staring across the table from behind his sunglasses. Eventually, he decided to let it go with a pensive look, and Koon wins that little pot without much confrontation.
