Alex "JinYang" Butcher Eliminated in 6th Place ($649 + $188 in Bounties)

"JinYang"
"JinYang"

In Level 20 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken opened to 66,000 under the gun and Alex "JinYang" Butcher three-bet shoved in the hijack for 331,000. Action folded back to Vanauken and he immediately called.

Alex "JinYang" Butcher: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Just moments after ceding a double, it looked as if Vanauken was about to give up another one to Butcher as the flop came {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts} to cut his number of outs down to four. The turn {8-Clubs} left Butcher with just one card between him and a double, but the river {k-Clubs} gave Vanauken just what he needed to make the best hand and eliminate Butcher in sixth place.

"l23weeeeeeeee" Doubles Through the Chip Leader

"l23weeeeeeeee"
"l23weeeeeeeee"

In Level 20 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, "l23weeeeeeeee" raised to 36,000 under the gun and was called by Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken, who was on the button. Action went heads up to the flop {5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, where "l23weeeeeeeee" checked to Vanauken, who bet 74,000. "l23weeeeeeeee" check-jammed for 357,000. Vanauken quickly called.

"l23weeeeeeeee": {j-Spades}{10-Spades}
Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Vanauken had an overcard, flush draw, and two additional gutshot straight outs, but they all missed as the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and "l23weeeeeeeee" earned the dub.

"Cholie" Eliminated in Seventh, Tournament Reaches the Final Table

"Cholie"
"Cholie"

In Level 19 with blinds of 5,000/10,000 and an ante of 1,250, "Cholie" open-jammed for about 350,000 in the small blind and "l23weeeeeeeee" immediately called all in for barely less in the big blind.

"l23weeeeeeeee": {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
"Cholie": {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

No ten came as the board ran out {9-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}, failing to double-pair along the way, and "l23weeeeeeeee" earned the double. "Cholie" was left with crumbs that were dusted off the table a couple of hands later to result in their elimination in seventh place, and all six remaining players have now reached the final table.

Hagerty Busts To Reach the Final Table Bubble

Ryan Hagerty
Ryan Hagerty

In Level 18 with blinds of 4,000/8,000 and an ante of 1,000, Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty was down to his last 99,000 and three-bet jammed it over a raise to 17,600 from "dadadada", who was on the button and called.

Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}
"dadadada": {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Nothing changed as the board ran out {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Hagerty finished in eighth place as a result, with his elimination bringing about the final table bubble and the resumption of hand-for-hand play until another elimination occurs.

That elimination almost occurred immediately after Hagerty's elimination, as Alex "JinYang" Butcher got all in with {7-}{7-} against the {a-}{8-} of Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken. Vanauken hit an eight on the flop, but a seven on the river saved Butcher to ensure no immediate end to the final table bubble.

Daniel Buzgon is the Bubble Boy

Dan Buzgon
Dan Buzgon

In Level 17 with blinds of 3,500/7,000 and an ante of 875, Sponsored Pro Daniel "leinad" Buzgon open-jammed for 97,100 in the hijack and received a call from Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken in the cutoff. All remaining players folded and the two were off to the races.

Daniel "leinad" Buzgon: {k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

A trey on the flop {2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} all but sent Buzgon packing, and the turn {a-Spades} confirmed such a result as it ensured no running wheel cards could possibly keep him alive. The river {10-Diamonds} completed the runout and Buzgon was eliminated by Vanauken in ninth place, becoming the official bubble boy of Event #2.

All eight remaining players are now officially in the money, with Vanauken leading the field by a wide margin with a stack of more than 1.8 million.

Two Tables Remain

In Level 16 with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and an ante of 750, "GiantGenius" got their last three big blinds all in preflop on the button against "RiverMan", who was in the cutoff.

"GiantGenius": {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
"RiverMan": {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{q-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}, giving "GiantGenius" a backdoor gutshot straight draw on the turn that would fail to land and bring about their elimination, one among a flurry of eliminations on both sides of the new level that has brought the field down to 10. Just two tables now remain.
