Brian Sherrier
Brian Sherrier

Hand #1: In Level 28, all of the chips went into the middle postflop between Brian "TopCreature" Sherrier in the big blind and "pay4medsch00l", who was in the cutoff.

Brian "TopCreature" Sherrier: {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
"pay4medsch00l": {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

When all was said and done, the board read {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Sherrier had missed his flopped open-ended straight draw to be left with just 101,000.

"TheTerminator1": {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The Ladies Love Sewnig

In Level 27 with blinds of 14,000/28,000 and an ante of 3,500, action folded to "TheTerminator1", who was on the button and limped in. Dan "mj23style" Sewnig was next to act in the small blind and pumped it up to 126,000. "TheTerminator1" called to take action heads up to a flop of {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, where both players checked.

The turn came {j-Spades} and Sewnig fired a bet of 167,000. "TheTerminator1" called and the river fell {2-Clubs}. Sewnig bet again, this time for 327,000, and "TheTerminator1" called without much deliberation.

Sewnig showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for an overpair of queens and the pot of 1.29 million was sent his way, taking him to nearly 3.5 million and further increasing his chip lead as six-handed play continues.

"ryanmco18"
"ryanmco18"

In Level 26 with blinds of 12,000/24,000 and an ante of 3,000, Dan "mj23style" Sewnig raised in middle position and "ryanmco18" three-bet jammed on the button for about 350,000. Sewnig called once action got back to him and the two were off to the races.

"ryanmco18": {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Dan "mj23style" Sewnig: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Sewnig was all over the flop {10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and further improved to Broadway on the turn {q-Clubs}, leaving "ryanmco18" with nothing more than three chop outs to Broadway themselves. Instead, the river {7-Clubs} completed the runout and "ryanmco18" was eliminated from the tournament in seventh place.

Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken Eliminated in 8th Place ($866)

Eric Vanauken
Eric Vanauken

In Level 26 with blinds of 12,000/24,000 and an ante of 3,000, Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken open-jammed for a bit over 300,000 in the cutoff and Don "dhimp20" Himeple called all in for barely less in the small blind.

Don "dhimp20" Himeple: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, giving Vanauken a gutshot straight draw on the flop that never filled. He was left with crumbs that would be gone a few hands later to result in him taking eighth place in the tournament.

Sherrier Reaches Seven Figures

"TopCreature"
"TopCreature"

In Level 26 with blinds of 12,000/24,000 and an ante of 3,000, Brian "TopCreature" Sherrier opened the action with a raise to 50,000 in early position and action folded around to the small blind, where Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken called. "ryanmco18" was in the big blind and also called, taking action three ways to the streets.

The flop dropped {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and both players in the blinds checked to put action onto Sherrier, who made a continuation-bet of 57,000. Vanauken folded and "ryanmco18" check-raised to 187,000. Sherrier came over the top, three-bet jamming for 517,000 and "ryanmco18" called.

Brian "TopCreature" Sherrier: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
"ryanmco18": {a-Spades}{2-Spades}

Sherrier's top pair with a queen kicker and second-nut flush draw was way out in front and the turn {j-Hearts} ensured his double, leaving "ryanmco18" drawing dead to the river {k-Diamonds} for the pot of 1.2 million to be shipped Sherrier's way.

Tournament Reaches the Final Table

"KevinDurant"
"KevinDurant"

In Level 25 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 2,500, "KevinDurant" was in the big blind and got the last of their chips in for a total pot of 350,000. "ryanmco18" gave them action in the small blind. When all was said and done, the board read {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

"KevinDurant": {4-Spades}{2-Spades}
"ryanmco18": {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Though "KevinDurant" flopped sevens up, it was no good to the kings up of "ryanmco18" and they were unable to find one of the two remaining cards in the deck that would keep them alive, resulting in their elimination from the tournament in 10th place.

Just a moment later, "RiverMan" was eliminated in ninth place by Dan "mj23style" Sewnig and the final table of eight has now been reached with Sewnig entering with the chip lead and a stack of over 2 million.
