Congratulations to "FRIELnGood", Winner of $215 Event #3: $20K GTD 8-Max PKO Bounty for $6,600

The partypoker US Online Series has just had another champion crowned after $215 Event #3: $20K GTD 8-Max PKO Bounty wrapped up. The third tournament of the series saw 143 runners and when the sun had set it was "FRIELnGood" reigning supreme, taking home $6,600 for their efforts.

A shallow tournament saw an action-packed final table and "FRIELnGood" saw themselves sitting to the side as all of the action unfolded. It was not until five-handed play that they really started to kick it into overdrive, finding their first elimination of the table versus Ramon “hoodrathings” Liriano Jr.

"FRIELnGood" never really looked back as they seemed to constantly climb afterward, collecting three more bounties en route to their victory for a juicy final bounty worth $3,711 of the $6,600 they collected for their victory.

Action of the Day

Event number three was a great success, pulling in a whopping 143 players which created a $28,600 prize pool that demolished the $20,000 guarantee that was set. late registration ended after 15 levels and it was then announced that the top 24 were to find a payday. Some notables to cash but failed to hit the final table include Yong ‘IReadYrSoul’ Kwon, Ross “Thehebrewhammer” Gottleib, Angel "chromeking" Lopez, Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja, and Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd.

once the final table hit it was Dan “mj23style” Sewnig sitting atop the leaderboard and it was not long before the first elimination was heading out the door. Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski moved most of their stack into the middle before the flop and "goksel1453" called to see two nines on the flop. Tentnowski shoved his king-jack high and was instantly called by his opponent who smashed the flop, tabling quad nines and Tentnowski was then drawing dead, leaving the final table first.

The biggest name at the table was Daniel "leinad" Buzgon and it is a sure thing that every player felt a sense of relief when he shoved his ace-ten into the pocket tens of Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo. A clean board sent the highly-acclaimed Buzgon out the door in seventh. "goksel1453" was the next on the chopping block, shoving their dead man's hand into the ace-ten of "SugarJ" who held on for the bounty, sending "goksel1453" out the door.

The short-stack of Ramon “hoodrathings” Liriano Jr saw ace-four and elected to shove. "FRIELnGood" called with king-jack and nailed a cowboy on each of the next two streets. Liriano Jr was eliminated, starting the run good of the eventual champion. The shallow stacks turned into a shove-fest and "FRIELnGood" pushed the small blind with ace-ten, "SugarJ" called for the rest of their stack, holding queen-eight and nothing connected on the board, eliminating them from the event.

Sewnig started the final table on top but lost a monster pot with jacks versus the ace-nine of Lupo. Shortly after Sewnig pushed their remaining chips in with jack-nine and Lupo snapped with king-queen. Sewnig flopped a nine but the turn brought a queen to hit Lupo with a higher pair and the river bricked out, sending the bounty of Sewnig to Lupo.

Just two remained and Lupo was leading the way. The back and forth battle saw "FRIELnGood" jump into the lead for just a moment before finding all of the chips go into the middle. Lupo held ace-nine and "FRIELnGood" tabled ace-queen. The board stayed with the tempo of the tournament, bricking out as the best hand scooped and Lupo was eliminated in second for a respectable $4,542.
