Event #3: $20K GTD PKO 8-Max Bounty
Day 1 Completed
The partypoker US Network Progressive Knockout (PKO) Bounty Online Series has just crowned another champion. Event #3: $20K GTD PKO 8-Max Bounty had a total of 141 entries and when the last chance saloon had closed for business it was Anthony "supremetny" Chin taking down the title for a total of $6,050.
Chin hovered above the average stack throughout the second half of the day, playing a patient game right up until he arrived at the final table where he sat third on the leaderboard and had collected two bounties thus far. He manoeuvered his stack delicately and seemed to always be ahead when put to the test by an opponent.
Chin's biggest threat at the final table was the red-hot Katie "KatieStone" Stone who was dominating the competition right up until heads-up play began. Stone had accumulated a bounty of $2,164 and Chin had some work set out if he wanted to collect. The lead swung back and forth until Chin picked up a pair of dimes versus the ace-seven of Stone. The board ran out clean, sending Stone's substantial bounty to the event three champion.

Action of The Day
The third tournament of the highly anticipated series had 141 registration buttons clicked by the end of late registration, creating a prize pool of $28,200 which soared past the guarantee that was set with ease. The prize pool had 24 runners set to receive a payday of at least $131, with the eventual champion pulling in $2,848 plus all bounties collected, including their own.
When the money bubble popped an onslaught of departures followed and before no time it was a final table showdown. Ramon “hoodrathings” Liriano Jr was the first to say goodbye when his ace-jack couldn't best the king-seven of Yong ‘IReadYrSoul’ Kwon who rivered a straight and Liriano Jr was eliminated.
Next on the chopping block was Drew "maniacalmonk" O'Connell who took a shot on a flush draw, only to run into the top pair of Stone. "O'Connell failed to catch and Stone collected his bounty. Shortly after, "Cholie" looked down at big slick and was faced with a five-bet shove from Stone. "Cholie" instantly called, only to see the pocket rockets of Stone and the rest is history.
Kwon started the final table right below Stone on the leaderboard but whittled down once three-handed play began. He looked down at king-seven in the small blind and elected to shove. Stone snapped with ace-queen and landed two to scoop the pot, sending Kwon out in third.
Chin began heads-up as the shorter stack but battled back and caught a good run of cards. The two had a back and forth all-in battle but it was not until Stone shoved with ace-seven into the pockets tens of Chin that the two would turn over their cards and let it run. Chin flopped a set and Stone failed to catch up, sending her out as the runner-up for a respectable $2,847.
The series is open to everybody in the state of New Jersey across the three platforms of partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker.
That wraps it up for the PokerNews live coverage of this event, but tune in tomorrow for Event #4: $15K GTD PKO 40 Stack at 8 p.m. EST.
