Congratulations to "Snicklefritz", Winner of Event #4: $25K GTD 8-Max NLH for $6,118
On the fourth day of the BetMGM Online Series Poker Michigan, it was Event #4: $25K GTD 8-Max NLH headlining the day and it took just over six hours for a champion to be crowned. A total of 133 showed up for this tournament and when the dust had settled it was "Scicklefritz" reigning supreme, taking down $6,118 for their victory.
"Snicklefritz" began the final table near the bottom but quickly started to climb, eliminating "Mwj5596" just hands in. A quick-start didn't turn into a heater as the American was stuck grinding a sub-average stack until just four remained and they found a couple of monster pots against "farmhand" to jump into the lead.
Once in the lead it seemed to be an easy road to victory and their stack never took another hit along the way. "Snicklefritz" found big slick during the heads-up portion of the tournament versus "SteelyDan11" and a flopped king was more than enough to take down the pot, earning the title as champion, and "SteelyDan11" was then dubbed the runner-up.

Action of the Day
The first events of this series fell shy of the guarantee, but things have been heating up as of late and the last two events soared on by the advertised guarantee. This event had 50 sit down to start the day and when the 15 level late registration period ended a total of 133 runners had hit the register button. This created a $26,600 prize pool that had the top 24 finding at least a $309 min-cash with the eventual champion taking down the $6,118 first-place prize along with bragging rights.
When the late registration period ended there were 43 left in contention and it was not long before hand-for-hand play was among them. The inevitable bubble was "Jachase444" who ran their pocket sevens into the nines of "TrappinDonkeys" and all players were then guaranteed some money. An onslaught of elimination hit the final table bubble quickly, leaving "FOURTHMEAL" out of the spectacle as they took home the final table bubble tag.
"Snicklefritz" was the first player at the final table to take on the role of executioner when "Mwj5596" shoved ace-king and the champ called with their snowmen. A clean board sent all the chips to "Snicklefrit", dropping "Mwj5596" from the table. Shortly after, "TrappinDonkeys" tried their luck with a pair of dimes but "farmhand" was holding ladies and the rest is history.
A bet by "SteelyDan11" was quickly shoved when "ShirtC0ckin" put their stack in with ace-ten. "SteelyDan11" snapped with ace-king and "ShirtC0ckin" never caught up, exiting in sixth place. "UPray4Mercy" shoved three hands in a row before finding a call but this was the time as "UPray4Mercy" had ace-queen against the queen-jack of "farmhand". An unlucky jack on the flop pulled in the pot for "farmhand" and "UPray4Mercy" was shafted in fifth.
"KCspence" found their stack decline into the red zone where they shoved ace-seven into the ace-queen of "SteelyDan11". The turn brought a straight draw for "KCspence" but the river gave no love and they took an exit. The once monster stack "farmhand" found a perfect spot to get back into the thick of things when they shoved their queens and "Snicklefritz" called with jack-nine of hearts. A rivered straight for "Snicklefritz" denied the comeback attempt of "farmhand" who had to settle for third place.
The red-hot "Snicklefritz" had a monster stack as the heads-up portion of this event began and "SteelyDan11" couldn't seem to find a way back in. Ultimately "SteelyDan11" shoved a draw on the turn, only to see "Snicklefritz" snap with their big slick that landed a cowboy on the flop. A brick river eliminated "SteelyDan11" from the field as the inevitable runner-up, taking down a respectable $4,256.
