In the very first hand after the break, Eddy Scharf picked up in the hijack and moved all-in for his remaining 11 big blinds and change. A short stacked Frederic Femont had 200,000 of his 1.2 million chips invested from the small blind and called all-in holding , and Beviglieri in the big blind folded her .

The flop saw Femont jump ahead, but the on the turn gave Pitzani an additional four outs to the wheel to stay alive. The on the river was huge for Pitzanti, who celebrated with a fist-pump. Femont won the side pot with a pair of queens, and the first elimination of the final table was still to come.
