Moran Still Leads WPT Grand after First Level
The first level of WPT Grand is complete now, and start-of-day leader Dan Moran still has the biggest stack. He's chipped up a bit since the start of the day, playing more than 2.7 million. David Lopez Llacer is in second with almost 2.2 million, while Michael Sklenička is just behind in third with just over 2.1 million.
Nearly two levels are complete in the faster-paced WPT Super $215. Canadian Octavian Zamfir leads the pack with $100 in bounties and more than 277,000 chips. Irish PKO specialist Dara O'Kearney is in second place with $50 in bounties and about 220,000 chips. O'Kearney literally wrote the book on PKO strategy with his recent collaboration with Barry Carter, PKO Poker Strategy.
