The biggest event of the night, WPT #05 High Roller: $1M Gtd has concluded with 17 out of 99 players making it through to Day 2. Aussie superstar Michael Addamo once again showed why he's in the conversation for one of the best tournament players in the world as he'll be taking a substantial chip lead into day 2.
Addamo towered over his competition and collected 1,519,333 in chips, dwarfing his nearest challengers Ramiro Petrone (1,062,319) and David Coleman (762,208).
Needless to say, the Aussie will be the odds-on favorite when cards will go back in the air on Monday, May 16 at 7:05 p.m. GMT. The winner at the end of the night will receive $249,791, while all remaining players are guaranteed at least $21,277 for their efforts.
Mike Watson (679,074), David Peters (564,485), Simon Mattsson (395,662), Rob Yong (266,964), Artur Martirosian (237,096), and Yuri Dzivielevski (227,897) are among those in contention as well.
