The final hand in The Grand brought another partypoker Sunday LIVE to an end.

The Grand Action

The Grand was the first game to get underway today, and the last to finish with a run-time of just under nine and a half hours. A total of 230 entries were recorded by the time registration closed, which meant 39 players shared in the $230,300 prize pool.

it took over five hours to make it into the money, including the three hours of late registration. After another 2 hours, Canadian Mark Radoja bubbled the final table, but one player who made it farther was partypoker Team Online member Jeff Gross. He made the final table, but had to settle for 7th place and just over $7,100. It was a good day for Gross however, as he also booked a 10th place finish in The Sunday 500 for another $1,000 and change.

Niklas Astedt led the final table wire-to-wire, and while Damian Salas put up a strong fight heads-up, Astedt got there with suited connectors to crack the fives of Salas in the final showdown.

After about 7 hours of play, "Tagir Madzhulov" ended up with all the chips, and a huge $14,934 in bounties. That was significantly more than the $8,368 in prizes for first place.

There were a total of 212 entries in the game, which meant the prize pool cracked the guarantee to $106,000. That ended up being divided between 34 players.

As is common in bounties, action went very quickly down to the money and even through the early money stages. Action stalled a bit once they got to the final two tables, but "Tagir Madzhulov" was the chip leader by a large margin for most of the end-game. Jeff Gross also managed to get deep in this one, finishing in 10th for a total of $1,071 on top of his winnings in The Grand.

"Tagir Madzhulov" dominated the final table, and took the game down winning a classic race with ace-king over queens.

The Weekender Final Day

The Final Day of The Weekender saw 147 players bag stacks in a starting flight. The total starting flights weren't quite enough to hit the $100,000 guarantee, so there was a little overlay in the prizes today.

It took just over 7 hours to play down to the winner, and "Zefl0pinh0" had to come back from a deficit heads-up to win it. "Garry Chess" got to heads up with a big lead, but was able to get back into it and take it down. The game ended with a cooler spot where "Garry Chess" got it in with ace-jack only to be dominated by ace-queen.
