Level 15 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Chance Kornuth opened to 225,000 from the cutoff with {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Viktor Blom defended his big blind with {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, giving both players really strong hands. Blom checked to Kornuth who continued for 200,000 and Blom quickly called.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} giving Kornuth the nut flush and Blom check-called another bet of 675,000 from Kornuth. The river landed the {j-Clubs} and Blom checked one more time. Kornuth announced all in and the pressure was back on Blom. He burned through some of his time extensions before finally calling off his last 2,800,000 with a straight. Kornuth tabled his flush and Blom was eliminated on the bubble.

Joao Simao
Joao Simao

John Krpan opened to 225,000 from under the gun with {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Chance Kornuth called directly to his left with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Joao Simao shoved all in for 1,685,000 with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} from middle position and Krpan folded. Kornuth quickly made the easy call and had Simao in a world of hurt.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Simao would need one of two remaining jacks to stay alive. The turn was the {5-Spades} and the river landed the {k-Diamonds}. Simao was eliminated on the first hand of the unofficial final table, leaving the remaining eight players on the money bubble.

Winter Runs Into an Overpair

Level 15 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Outer Table:

Christopher Kruk raised to 200,000 from the cutoff and Sean Winter called from the big blind. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Winter checked to Kruk who continued for 100,000. Winter check-raised to 325,000 and Kruk shoved all in. Winter called off his last 1,600,000 and the cards were tabled.

Kruk tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Winter reluctantly turned over {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and the river brought the {10-Spades}, giving Kruk a full house and eliminating Winter. That means the final nine players will now redraw for seats at the unofficial final table. PokerNews will continue their coverage from the live stream on a 30-minute delay.
