Welcome to Day 4 of Caribbean Poker Party $5,300 Main Event
Three starting days, two Day 2s and a Day 3 that saw the money bubble burst have whittled a field of 1,815 entries down to just 58. Today, on Day 4 of the partypoker 2018 Caribbean Poker Party $5,300 Main Event, the prime contenders for the $1.5 million first-place prize will be determined as the field will likely be narrowed to two tables or so worth of players.
Two of the prime contenders are names that should be recognizable to poker fans, especially those who followed the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event.
Carlos Chadha is the chip leader and a regular on the circuit, and he brings a massive stack of 89,550,000, well over 100 big blinds, into play.
Trailing him in second is Alex Lynskey, a talented Australian grinder who navigated to a seventh-place finisher in the Main. While his finish there was a bit bittersweet as he failed to win even a single pot, a victory here would help ease the pain of nearly claiming over $8 million.
Anton Wigg, Joe Kuether, Konstantin Maslak, Francois Billard, Adam Owen and Simon Deadman are some of the other accomplished players still in contention as well.
Blinds and antes start out at 350,000/700,000/700,000 and play is set for a noon kickoff. Stay tuned to this space as we bring you updates throughout the day in the partypoker style.
