Bonomo Stacks Off to Nolet

Level 3 : 3,000/7,000, 7,000 ante

In a pot with around 1,100,000 already in the middle, a completed board of {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} was spread across the felt. Justin Bonomo checked from the big blind and Guillaume Nolet pushed all in for 458,000 in early position. Bonomo thought for a minute and eventually made the call.

Nolet turned over {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for the nut flush and Bonomo's cards went into the muck. While Nolet scored himself a massive double up, Bonomo was left with under ten big blinds.

Some other names to join the field include Dylan Linde, Dan Shak, and Philipp Gruissem. Alan Schein has also re-entered for a fresh stack of 1,000,000 chips after his first attempt proved to be not so lucky.

Live Stream Getting Started

Level 3 : 3,000/7,000, 7,000 ante

One of the tables has been pulled to the live stream to kick things off after the break. The table features partypoker pros Jason Koon and Anatoly Filatov along with Vladimir Troyanovskiy, Paul Newey, and Francois Billard.

The hole cards will be shown on a 30-minute delay to keep the integrity of the game. You can check out the live stream that will be getting underway any moment right here.

Haxton Out to an Early Lead

Level 2 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Through the opening 90 minutes, partypoker pro Isaac Haxton has taken the early chip lead. Haxton has more than doubled his stack to over 2,200,000 and it appears the brunt of the chips came from Steve O'Dwyer who is down to a mere 285,000. With the structure being as deep as it is, there is no panic for the early short stacks who still have plenty of big blinds to work with.

Some other additions to the field include Ben Lamb, David Peters, and Thomas Boivin bringing the total entries to 49 thus far.

The German Contingent

Level 2 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Some of the German contingents has made their way into the Convention Center at Baha Mar Resort. The High Roller scene is often dominated by the German poker players and they are looking to keep that trend rolling here at the Caribbean Poker Party. Steffen Sontheimer, Dominik Nitsche, and Andreas Eiler are the first of many to drop into the field. There is expected to be many more sightings later today and into tomorrow.

A couple more partypoker pros have also recently taken a seat including Kristen Bicknell and Anatoly Filatov. The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Martin Jacobson is seated to the left of Bicknell along with high-stakes pro Sean Winter. There is not one table in the room that could be considered an "easy table" with accomplished poker pros filling the room.

The Action is Underway

Level 1 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

The cards are in the air on the first level of the day with 24 players in their seats. The field is already filled with notable pros littering every table. With such a large guaranteed prizepool up for grabs at a fabulous destination on the beaches of the Bahamas, it is no wonder many of the top players in the world have made their way to the Baha Mar Resort.

The only partypoker pro to enter the tournament thus far is Isaac Haxton but a few others have been seen in the building including Kristen Bicknell and Barny Boatman. A guaranteed prizepool of $10 million will be sure to attract many more players and the field will continue to grow throughout the day.

The 2018 Caribbean Poker Party Kicks off with $25,500 MILLIONS World

partypoker LIVE MILLIONS
partypoker LIVE MILLIONS

The 2018 Caribbean Poker Party has found a new home this year at the Baha Mar Resort in the beautiful Bahamas. Along with the new destination comes a whopping $10 million guaranteed Main Event that will take place over the course of eight days. However, the opening day belongs to the $25,500 MILLIONS World event that will attract the best players from around the world.

This exclusive Super High Roller event is set to become one of the biggest tournaments of its kind ever. While it comes with a larger buy-in, it also boasts the same $10 million guaranteed prizepool. Satellites have been running for nearly three months on partypoker to give players of all kinds a chance to enter the field for as little as $0.01. That also makes the tournament more lucrative for the pros who have been making their way to the island in waves.

Some of the partypoker team that has been seen already include Kristen Bicknell, Ludovic Geilich, Isaac Haxton, Bruno Fitoussi, Anatoly Filatov, Sam Trickett, and chairman Mike Sexton. There will be many other big names in the field to make this one event you won't want to miss.

The action is scheduled to get underway at 12:00pm inside the convention center where the partypoker crew has taken over with poker tables filling the room. Each player will start with 1,000,000 chips when they take to the felt with the blinds beginning at 2,000/5,000 and a 5,000 button ante. The levels will be 60 minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every two levels. A 60-minute dinner break is scheduled after the sixth level of the day.

There will be two Day 1s available for the players with each of them allowing one re-entry. Late registration will remain open for 12 levels which carries into Day 2 as only eight levels will be played on Day 1. Multiple satellites will be running regularly over the course of the next three days with at least 23 seats guaranteed.
