Chidwick and Mateos Ousted; Haxton Pressures Badziakouski
Stephen Chidwick lost a huge pot to Mikita Badziakouski when the two players got all of the chips in the middle preflop. Chidwick held pocket queens against the pocket nines of Badziakouski but a nine on the flop put the Belarussian in the driver's seat. Chidwick was left with just a few big blinds and was eliminated shortly after.
At the feature table, Adrian Mateos was on the short stack and bumped it up to 75,000 in the hijack. David Peters three-bet in the cutoff and the action folded back to Mateos who shoved all in for 725,000. Peters snap called and they were off to the races. Peters held against the of Mateos. The board ran out and Mateos headed to the rail.
Back on the outer table, Isaac Haxton clashed with Badziakouski in a three-bet pot. On a board reading , Haxton fired a bet on all three streets, 150,000 on the flop, 450,000 on the turn, and an all-in for 820,000 on the river. Badziakouski called the flop and turn but elected to lay his hand down on the river.
