Morten Mortensen Makes the Most of It
Dane Morten Mortensen only arrived in Nottingham this afternoon and bought straight into the Main Event. He's been doing very well for himself and has turned his one million chips into more than five at this point.
First off he got three streets of value with Queens against Patrick Mulhern. Mortensen raised from the button, Mulhern called out of the big blind, and the flop came . Mulhern check-called 145,000 and did the same again on the turn. On the river Mortensen bet 425,000, got the call and took the pot with the overpair.
Next, he won a decent sized one when he made it 115,000 to go from first position, Jost Reifuhs flatted in the cutoff and Jan Bednar squeezed it up to 405,000 out of the small blind. Back on Mortensen he put both his opponent to the test by moving all-in, but neither Reifuhs nor Bednar were interested and let go of their hands.
