Mike McDonald Picks Up the Pace
For the majority of the day, there hasn't been much talk about the High Roller Champion, Mike McDonald. McDonald came into Day 2 with more than double the average chips but has not been very active. He has held steady around the four million chip mark for most of the day but with only two levels of play left, McDonald has started to push the action a bit.
There was around 300,000 in the pot preflop with the board reading , and McDonald was heads-up with his opponent who checked to him. McDonald bet 175,000 and his opponent called.
The turn was a and again his opponent checked. This time McDonald bet a much larger amount of 800,000 but again his opponent called.
The river was another deuce , and his opponent checked for the third time. McDonald fired 1,800,000 which finally forced his opponent to fold. McDonald will look to keep up the aggressive action for the remainder of the day in order to head into Day 3 with a reasonable chip stack.
