Giorgi Tsintsadze finishes 9th

Level 37 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Giorgi Tsintsadze
Giorgi Tsintsadze

After very recently running his {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} into Aristeidis Moschonas' {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and failing to improve, Giorgi Tsintsadze was left dangerously short on chips.

The man known only as EA raised to 1,400,000, with Giorgi Tsintsadze moving all-in next to act. SThe action slowly folded round, with EA making the immediate call. Tsintsadze tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} but had, very unfortunately, run into {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} again!

It looked to be all over when EA drilled a set on the {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, but there was a little light at the end of the tunnel when the dealer turned the {2-Diamonds}. It wasn't to be, though, as the river bricked the {7-Clubs} and the chips went EA's way.

Giorgi Tsintsadze will finish 9th and take home €5,000

Burstein Bangs It In

Level 37 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Dragan Zaric opened under the gun with a raise to 1,300,000, with Vladimir Burstein quickly 3-betting the button to 4,100,000. Both blinds got out of the way, before Zaric decided to make the call.

The dealer spread a {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop, with Zaric checking the action over to Burstein who reached for a continuation bet of 2,900,000. No sooner had Zaric put in the check-raise to 7,500,000, then Burstein had put the rest in, shoving for Zaric's 20,000,000-chip effective stack.

After a momentary dwell, Zaric made the fold as Burstein dragged in a big pot bringing him into second position of the 10 remaining players.

Lechner Happy To Showdown

Level 36 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Martin Lechner raised from the cutoff to 1,050,000, with Rolando Lombardi 3-betting to 2,250,000 from the small blind. After a short dwell, Lechner put in the call and the pair took a {q-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop heads up.

Lombardi continued on the flop for the same bet - 2,250,000 - with Lechner making the call, before both players checked down the {8-Clubs} turn and the {j-Spades} river.

Lechner went to table his hand, but was promptly shown Lombardi's {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}. As the dealer pushed the pot Lombardi's way, Lechner flashed the {a-Clubs}, before the tournament director announced there would be a short break after this level.
