If Phil Hellmuth finishes in second place, he'll add 11 points and finish with 19. That would give Daniel Negreanu 26 points. In that scenario, Hellmuth will miss out of the playoff and Negreanu will be in along with JC Tran. If Hellmuth wins and Negreanu loses, Hellmuth will get in as will Negreanu, but Tran will be knocked out. That said, Negreanu might actually lose on purpose if he feels it's more advantageous to have Hellmuth in instead of Tran.
