Jimmy "Blue Eyes" Salabi Eliminated in 17th Place ($3,200 in Cash and Prizes)

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jimmy Salabi
Jimmy Salabi

Jimmy "Blue Eyes" Salabi bet all-in for his remaining 175,000 from the small blind and was called by the big blind player, Amanda Heidbrick. Salabi tabled {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} while Heidbrick showed {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

On the flop of {2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, Heidbrick said, "Put a ten out there." The deck complied with the {10-Hearts} on the turn followed by the river {4-Clubs}.

Heidbrick found a nice increase to her stack while Salabi ended his day in 17th place.

Maahs Busted in 19th

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Kevin Maahs
Kevin Maahs

Left with 80,000, Kevin Maahs raised all-in from under the gun with {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} and was called by the small blind of Jason Kapoor with {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Maahs was unable to catch up on a board of {5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} sending him to the rail.

There will now be a full 18-player redraw.

Big Slick Does Not Do the Trick for Miller

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Bryant Miller
Bryant Miller

Bryant Miller raised to 25,000 from the button only to have Steve Federspiel three-bet to 85,000 from the big blind. Miller responded by four-bet jamming and Federspiel called.

Steve Federspiel: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Bryant Miller: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Both players had ace-king and that meant a chop was more than likely. However, the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop made things interesting by giving Federspiel a freeroll flush draw. The {6-Clubs} turn didn't complete it but the {j-Hearts} river did to send Miller out the door in 20th place for $2,600.

Kapoor Doubles Through Rogowski

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jason Kapoor bet all-in from the cutoff for 105,000 holding the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. On his immediate left, on the button, Andy Rogowski re-raised all in with the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

Everyone else folded leaving the players heads up. The board favored Kapoor as it ran outt {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{7-Spades} to give him the double.

Spahiu Ousts Berthelsen in 21st Place

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Kevin Berthelsen
Kevin Berthelsen

Renato Spahiu raised the button to 20,000 and Bryant Miller called. Kevin Berthelsen, who back in August finished third in the MSPT Grand Falls Main Event, came along from the big blind and it was three-way action to the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop.

Two checks saw Spahiu continued for 40,000 and Miller folded. Berthelsen then check-jammed for around 150,000 and Spahiu called.

Renato Spahiu: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Kevin Berthelsen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Berthelsen had flopped top pair but it was no good as Spahiu held an overpair. Neither the {4-Spades} turn nor {10-Hearts} river changed a thing and Berthelsen bowed out in 21st place for $2,600 in cash and prizes.
