Fussy Gets an Early Double

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jeff Taylor opened the action with a raise to 10,500 from middle position and was three-bet all in by Leo Fussy for the 34,500 he brought into the day. Fussy was in the hijack and action made its way back to Taylor, who confirmed the amount before calling.

"Kings!" said Fussy, tabling {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

"Worse!" responded Taylor, showing {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}.

"What was I supposed to do?" said Fussy to another player at the table.

"Exactly that!" said the player.

The board ran out in Fussy's favor, coming {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} to score the double. He sent his stack forward to be counted and was then paid by Taylor.

"Why couldn't you have had 44 (thousand)?" said Taylor as he sent the chips Fussy's way.
