The hijack opened to 700 and was three-bet by Vic Peppe, who was on the button, to 1,300. The small blind then cold four-bet to 3,100, getting a fold from the hijack and a call from Peppe.

The flop came {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} and the small blind checked.

"Did you miss ace-king?" said Peppe, throwing out a bet of 2,000. The small blind called. "Oh my God, he's got aces!" he added after being called. The turn was {8-Spades}.

""I can't bet," said Peppe as he tapped the felt to bring the river {2-Diamonds}. Both players checked again to take the hand to showdown.

"I win," said Peppe, tabling {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} upon checking back. His opponent sent his cards to the muck and the pot was shipped to Peppe.
