Schmidtknecht Makes Trips

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Daniel Schmidtknecht opened to 500 from under the gun and was three-bet to 1,400 from Jeff Maas, who was in middle position. Action folded back to Schmidtknecht and he made the call to bring a flop of {2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Schmidtknecht checked to Maas, who made a continuation-bet of 1,700. Schmidtknecht called.

The turn came {3-Hearts} and Schmidtknecht checked again. Maas fired a second barrel for 2,300 and received another call. The river fell {k-Hearts} and Schmidtknecht checked once more. Maas checked behind to take the hand to showdown.

Upon checking back, Maas tabled {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for two pair, kings and tens. Schmidtknecht showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for trip kings and took down the pot.
