To put things a little bit in perspective, Bendinelli has scored more points then the entire UK and Ukrainian teams. Oliver Price has scored all but 5,000 points of the UK team.
"One point at a time!" said Simon Deadman after he busted to Giuliano Bendinelli. "Why did I try and flip with this guy?"
Deadman had raised to 1,600 from the small blind and then called all in after Bendinelli shoved on him.
Deadman:

The board ran to make the Italian trips.
"I can't lose!" shouted Bendinelli. The Italian is having some day and if Italy go on to win the World Cup, there's already a clear favourite for the MVP award.
Sam Trickett's streak of losing all ins continues as he has just been knocked out by Ole Schemion. Trickett was all in before the flop and the showdown went as following.

The flop brought and the German fans erupted in excitement. The turn was the and the river the knocking Trickett out in seventh place.
"Are you ready?" Gnatenko laughed while the dealer was still shuffling the cards. The member of Team Ukraine was hinting at George Danzer making an all in the next hand, as the German was seated in the big blind with a very short stack.
"If you raise I have to fold, against anyone else I call" Danzer laughed.
The dealer was than done shuffling, dealt the cards, and Gnatenko indeed raised under the gun for 1,000. Action folded to Danzer who glanced at his cards, and then did what he had promised before the flop; he folded his . Gnatenko showed .
The next hand Danzer would be all in. And he would get slow rolled too.
Simon Deadman opened for 900 from the hijack and Danzer three bet to 1,400 from the small blind, with just 300 behind. Deadman made the call.
"I check blind" Danzer said with a big smile. "I check behind" Deadman said. And so the dealer just dealt the flop and turn without stopping: .
Danzer shoved all in his mere 300 stack. Deadman jokingly asked for a count, and called.
"I have a pair" Danzer said.
"That's good," Deadman answered.
Danzer showed
"Unless it's a four" Deadman continued, and the table errupted in laughter as Deadman showed .
Team Canada is hurting in the fourth heat as Andrew Chen has been knocked out early as well. Earlier Chen lost a huge pot with a straight and flush draw against Schemion's top pair, and he was left behind crippled.
Schemion just knocked out Chen holding versus the Canadian's pocket kings, and Schemion is in the lead on the feature table.
Vladimir Troyanovskiy smiled on the turn in a hand where he called all in only to see the bad news.
The hand started with a hijack raise from Philipp Gruissem before Troyanovskiy three-bet to 1,900 from the small blind. The Team Germany player came back with a four-bet to 3,800 and his Russian counterpart called.
The flop fanned and Troyanovskiy check-called 2,000. Gruissem shoved for 8,500 on the turn and Troyanovskiy check-called all in for less than 8,000 with for a turned full house. It was no good though as Gruissem opened before the river came as the .
Not a lot is going wrong for the German's today. They were many people's favourites and are showing why.
Team UK's Sam Trickett really needs to win some points, but he just got a tough punch in the gut when Betrand Grospellier cracked his pocket aces.
Trickett raised under the gun plus two to 800 and Grospellier three-bet to 2,000 from his immediate left. The action folded back around to Trickett and he moved all in. Grospellier called to put his tournament life at risk for 9,450 total.
Grospellier:

The board ran out and Grospellier hit a flush to double up. Trickett is now one of the short stacks with Team UK in serious trouble of being the first country knocked out.
"He had aces (points to Giuliano Bendinelli), I had jacks and Dan [Smith] had ace-king. We put our chips in to see what happened!" was how George Danzer explained to a few players on the feature table.

It's nine o' clock, it's already a long day, and there's a lot of play ahead. So what's better than to order a little drink? The players on table 1 sure agree as the waiter just brought wine and whisky for most of them.
"One more whisky" Haxton said when he was overlooked by the waiter the first time around.
In the meantime, Price opened for 500 and Philipp Gruissem on the button three bet to 1,225. Both blinds folded and Price made the call.
"I got the wine, I got the three bet pot in position," Gruissem laughed, "What more can you ask for?"
It wasn't the most interesting hand of the evening. Both players checked the entire board of and Price tabled . Gruissem showed so not only had he a nice red wine, he also got some extra chips. What a life!
