Team UK are having a bad heat (one player remaining) and that has opened the door for Ukraine to move off the bottom with four players still able to score points. Actually make that three as Alexander Dovzhenko busted.
He was short and shoved from the small blind with . Marc-Andre Ladouceur was in the big blind, called with and survived the board.
Action folded to small blind Dario Sammartino and the Team Italy player shoved all in for his last 5,600.
Big blind Philipp Gruissem leaned over, and glanced at his first card together with Sammartino.
"That's already enough right?" Gruissem laughed, apparently looking at an ace.
They then peeked at the second card together, and Gruissem and Sammartino almost simultaneously laughed "Cazzo!", repeating the Italian swearing words multiple times.
Dario Sammartino:
Philipp Gruissem:
Gruissem pointed at the queen, indicating that Sammartino didn't need to worry. And indeed, a queen hit: . Double up for Sammartino!
Bertrand Grospellier was all in for just a few chips and Anatoly Filatov called his shove.
Filatov:
Grospellier:
The board ran out and Grospellier was knocked out. The remaining four players at this table are Ole Schemion, Olivier Busquet, Eugene Katchalov and the aforementioned Filatov.
Oleksii Khoroshenin felt like he needed to make a point about the way Vanessa Selbst played her hand, effectively accusing her of angle shooting. Selbst defended herself and had the backing of the other players.
The words between the two occurred before the board was dealt; Selbst had her out in front of her and was in great shape against Rocco Palumbo's . The latter had raised preflop and then four-bet jammed after Selbst had three-bet. The dealer was counting the raise and by the time she had informed Selbst of the amount, the time bank had dropped to five seconds. Selbst said she needed her 30 seconds from that point but the Ukrainian thought she was asking to use a team time bank chip, that wasn't issued before Selbst decided to call.
The board ran out and Palumbo was eliminated.
Khoroshenin still said he thought it was unfair but he was like an island, alone with his point of view.
