Day 2 Concludes
Day 2 of the $25,000 High Roller Freeze-Out has come to an end here at the 2010 Full Tilt Poker Merit Cyprus Classic. The day began with 24 players and emerging at the top of the pack with nine remaining is Perica Bukara. He frustrated his opponents all day with sheer aggression and big hands to finish out the day with a whopping 951,700.
Phil Ivey's day came to a quick end as he busted during the first level of play today against Michael Mizrachi. "The Grinder" also won't be back for Day 3, busting at the hands of Bukara. Sorel Mizzi, Kfir Yamin, Nicolas Chouity and Filippo Candio were a few of the others to hit the rail throughout the day.
There is still one November Niner left from the three that entered this event. John Dolan is alive and well, sitting on a stack of 455,500 going into Day 3. Carter Phillips, David Benyamine, Sam Trickett, Andrew Feldman and Jon Turner also remain in the final nine.
Only five places pay out and those spots will be determined tomorrow when the players return at 4:00 pm local time. Not only is the final table and finish of this event on tomorrow, but we've also got the main event from here in Cyprus, which means the day will be jam packed with poker action from wall to wall. Be sure to be back here tomorrow for PokerNews' live coverage from the tournament floor in beautiful Cyprus!
