Not A Merry Man

Rob Sherwood fired out 110,000 on a {3-Hearts} {J-Spades} {8-Clubs} flop which Santeri Valikoski check-called. The Finn then led out for 135,000 on the {J-Hearts} turn and Sherwood gave him a long stare before realising his hand.

Finn Raise?

Santeri Valikoski raised to 70,000 and James Mitchell repopped it to 220,000. The Finn came right back over the top and moved in for 920,000 total and pushed the pressure back on to Mitchell.

After a long though, Mitchell declined to call the extra 700,000 and folded instead.

Ben Roberts Eliminated In 5th Place (€130,600)

Ben Roberts - 5th
Ben Roberts - 5th
Ben Roberts moves all-in for 382,000. Santeri Valikoski calls. Everyone else heads for the hills.

Roberts: {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs}
Valikoski: {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}

The board came {10-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} giving Valikoski top pair but Roberts picked up a double gutshot, going from six outs to seven.

The {4-Diamonds} changed nothing since neither held a diamond and the {10-Hearts} river meant that we're left with a fatal fourway...

Carr Steering it Home

Santeri Valikoski raised it up to 70,000 and Paul Carr made the call. On a {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, Carr led for 125,000 and Valikoski made the call.

A {7-Diamonds} turn triggered another bet from Carr, this time to the tune of 200,000. Valikoski, however, was a non-believer, making a minimum raise of 400,000. After a brief pause, Carr announced all-in and Valikoski immediately folded, much to the roar of the crowd.

Valikoski now in a "world of trouble" as the commentary team put it.

Carr Doesn't Apply The Brakes

No stopping chip leader Paul Carr at the moment. Santeri Valikoski just opened on the button and Carr called before leading out for 135,000 on the {10-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} flop. The Finn sighed and immediately gave up his hand.

Edmund Sweeney Eliminated in 6th Place (€100,800)

Edmund Sweeney - 6th
Edmund Sweeney - 6th
Edmund Sweeney is now out on his ahem... Todd after locking horns with 'Gentleman' Ben Roberts. All in preflop, Sweeney was looking to hit one of six outs with {K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} versus {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, but those one of those outs went awry as the flop came {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} to offer Roberts a bigger flush draw.

The {7-Hearts} turn and {5-Clubs} river were of no use, and Sweeney departed in sixth.
