Oklahoma State Championship of Poker Main Event Begins
Tulsa's longest-running poker series, the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker, is back for its 15th year at Hard Rock Casino Resort. Started in 2006, Green Country's premiere poker tournament has attracted the best players from throughout the region. Last year, 132 players entered the Main Event, with Nick McAtee of Shawnee, Kansas, taking home $31,098 for the victory.
The $675 buy-in Main Event sports a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and two starting flights. Day 1a kicks off at noon Friday local time with Day 1b scheduled for noon Saturday. Each day one is scheduled for fifteen 30-minute levels. Players surviving their Day 1 flights will return at noon on Sunday to play down to a champion.
Players will begin their tournament with 20,000 chips. Late registration and unlimited re-entry are available until the start of Level 9 (approximately 4:30 p.m. local time). The structure employs the big-blind ante, for faster play throughout the event. For the full structure sheet, click here.
