Day 1b Concludes with Negreanu in the Top Pack
Day 1b has come to a close here at The Big Event's Main Event at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California. Another 154 players joined the action today, with under 100 of them remaining at day's end. Topping the field is Shawn Hart with 151,900 in chips.
A couple of the bigger names who played today and amassed some hefty stacks were Ali Eslami (135,200) and Daniel Negreanu (111,500). Both finished in the top 10 for Day 1b. Other names such as Joe Cada, Daniel Alaei, Jennifer Tilly, Matt Affleck and John Hennigan also played in the second starting flight, but they all fell by the end of the day.
Some of the other notables moving on to Day 2 are Dwyte Pilgrim, Eddy Sabat, Kathy Liebert, Ray Henson and Arnaud Mattern. They'll join the remaining players from Day 1a when the fields combine tomorrow at 12:00 PM local time to continue the quest. What's at the end of the road?
