David Martinko Bags Big on Day 1c of Event #1 $550 PSPC
Action has concluded in Day 1c of the$550 PSPC Event #1 here at the 2024 Pennsylvania State Poker Championship. Of the 101 entrants who started the day, only 13 will return for Day 2 on Sunday, all of whom will be in the money starting the day.
David Martinko has emerged as the chip leader, bagging a whopping 374,000 chips. Martinko chipped up steadily throughout the day and won a massive pot on the stone bubble to propel him into the chip lead. Martinko got his Ace-High flush draw all in against his opponent’s top pair and flush draw.
John Cipriano was able to chip up to 307,000 before the day ended and sits comfortably in second place. Boris Kravets was also able to bag a sizable stack, totaling 270,000 heading into Day 2. Kravets won an online bracelet in 2022 Event #4 2022 No-Limit Hold’em lucky 7s (PA) and is an accomplished tournament player.

Day 1e will begin August 23rd at 11:15 a.m. local time with blinds starting at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. Play will conclude once 12.5% of the field, all of whom will make Day 2 and be guaranteed in the money.
