Gaddie Flops the Nuts to Triple
Level 10
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Eramis Gaddie, Nawaung Maran, and Drew McLaughlin went to the river on a board of A♣8♣2♣4♦A♥ where Maran bet 12,000 from under the gun. Gaddie then moved all in for 25,000 in early position and McLaughlin reshoved for 30,000 in the cutoff.
Maran tanked for a minute before tossing the A♠ into the muck, saying he had ace-queen.
"I flopped the nuts. I was slow playing it," Gaddie said as he turned over K♣J♣. McLaughlin had A♦J♦ and Gaddie tripled up.
"Once he showed the ace, I knew you had it," McLaughlin said to Gaddie after the hand.
