Laskowitz Wakes Up with Aces

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Samuel Laskowitz
Samuel Laskowitz

Jonathan Tamayo raised to 5,000 in middle position, Aram Oganyan three-bet to 15,000 in the cutoff, Alejandro Lococo flatted in the small blind, and Samuel Laskowitz four-bet to 40,000 in the big blind. Tamayo and Oganyan got out of the way, and Lococo called.

The flop came 565 and Lococo check-called a bet of 40,000 from Laskowitz, bringing the 5 turn.

Lococo check-called again, this time for 70,000, bringing the Q river. Lococo checked once more and Laskowitz moved all in for about 150,000 total.

Lococo, who had roughly 115,000 behind, went deep into the tank, using several time bank cards in the process. He eventually made the call and saw the bad news when Laskowitz tabled pocket aces. Lococo showed pocket jacks and exited the tournament area.
