Brian Altman Eliminated in 8th Place ($53,100)

Brian Altman raised from under the gun, and it folded to the big blind Valentyn Shabelnyk who three-bet to 160,000. Altman made the call to see a flop.

After the 2♦3♣8♥ flop, Shabelnyk bet out 60,000, and Altman raised to 200,000. Shabelnyk gave it some thought and made the call.

Both players checked after the K♣ on the turn, which brought the 9♣. Shabelnyk then bet out 310,000, leaving just 25,000 behind. Altman used one time bank before making the call. Shabelnyk tabled A♥K♥ for top pair top kicker, and Altman tossed his cards in the muck. Altman was left with just 55,000 chips after the hand.

The very next hand Nicholas Seward raised to 40,000 from the hijack, which was called by Shabelnyk in the small blind and Altman put in his last 15,000 after paying the blinds and antes.

The flop came 5♠9♣3♥ and Shabelnyk check-called a bet of 30,000 from Seward. '

Both players then checked to showdown after the 2♣ turn and 3♠ river.

Shabelnyk showed A♣J♥ for just ace high and tossed it in the muck when Seward tabled 5♥4♥ to take the side pot with two pair, fours and threes. Altman then turned over K♣7♥ for just king high, as Seward took the main pot as well and eliminated Altman.
