Talbot was ahead with his pocket sevens but would have to race for his tournament life. The flop came 5♣J♥10♥ and Talbot was still ahead, but Riebel now had four extra outs with a queen to make a straight. The 5♦ turn was a safe one for Talbot, but the A♠ river improved Riebel to the best hand with a pair of aces and eliminated Talbot.

Joe Malebranche raised to 4,000 from the hijack, and was called by Scott Heiser in the cutoff, Denis Angelov in the small blind, and Brian Seidel in the big blind.

All four players checked after the Q♥4♠3♥ flop.

After the 7♣ turn, it was checked to Malebranche who bet 8,600 and was called by Heiser. Both Angelov and Seidel folded.

The river was the 6♦ and Malebranche bet out 24,000, before Heiser raised all in for 53,400. After sitting in the tank for nearly two minutes, Malebranche did find a fold and gave the pot to Heiser.

Kates Finds the Double Up

Action picked up on the river in a hand between Rudolf George in the big blind and Zachariah Kates in middle position.

With about 40,000 in the middle and the board reading J♥4♥8♥3♦K♣, George bet 14,000, which was enough to put Kates all in, who had 12,700 behind.

After some thought, Kates made the call and tabled K♥K♦ for three of a kind, kings, besting the A♥2♠ of George, who had a busted flush draw.

It checked around to the player in the cutoff, who moved all in for about a pot-sized bet, putting himself at risk. It folded back around to Lackey in the big blind, who made the call.

Jimmy Born raised to 1,600 from under the gun, David Urban flatted in the hijack, and both the players in the blinds called.

The flop came K♥3♣10♥, both the players in the blinds checked, Born bet 4,600, and Urban made it 15,000 to go. The small blind and big blind got out of the way and Born called.

The turn landed the 7♣ and Born checked. Urban bet enough to put Born all in, who had a little over 30,000 behind. Born thought for a moment before eventually making the call.

The river rolled off the 8♦, and Urban's two pair, kings and tens, sent Born to the rail.

The flop came Q♠10♠4♠, the small blind checked, George bet 1,000, Esterling called, the button raised to 3,400, and the small blind folded. George then came over the top with a raise to 7,000, Esterling called, and the button folded.

On the 6♥ turn, George bet 11,900 and Esterling moved all in for 27,600, putting himself at risk. George made the call.

The flop came 6♣Q♠7♠and Kirsten bet out 1,200, which Solomon called.

After the 3♣ on the turn, Kirsten bet 4,000, and Solomon again called.

The river was the 8♦ and Kirsten fired out 11,000, before Solomon raised him all in for a total of 21,000. Kirsten quickly called and tabled 5♦4♦ for a straight. But Solomon showed down 10♠9♠ for the nut straight and eliminated Kirsten from the tournament.

Corey Zarnoch raised to 800 from under the gun, getting calls from the players in middle position, the hijack, and the button. Melanie Hennigan then three-bet to 6,000 in the small blind, and only Zarnoch called.

The flop came Q♠4♠6♥ and Hennigan continued with a bet of 7,500, resulting in a fold from Zarnoch.

"Queens," said Hennigan, as she started stacking her chips.

"You had pocket queens?" asked Zarnoch. Hennigan nodded her head yes and replied "What did you have?"

"Not pocket queens," responded Zarnoch, getting laughs from the players at the table.
