Repole's Kings Survive a Scary Run Out

John Kostelac raised to 8,000 from under the gun before Peter Repole three-bet to 22,000 from early position. It folded to the big blind who went all in for 12,000. Kostelac folded, and Repole made the call to put the big blind at risk.

The big blind would need help to stay in the tournament, but after the 5♣7♣3♠ flop the big blind did have outs with a gut shot straight draw. Then the 7♠ on the turn gave the big blind a flush draw to go along with is straight draw. But the river was the 2♣ and the kings of Repole were still best, and the big blind was eliminated.
