O'Brien Going After Chips Early
Dan O'Brien certainly isn't looking to get off to a slow start here on Day 3 and has been involved in the first two hands at his table.
On the first hand, Dave Whalen opened with a raise to 9,000 from middle position. Philippe Plouffe made the call from the hijack seat and then Dan O'Brien reraised to 25,100 from the button. Ronnie Bardah tanked for a bit from the small blind before folding. Everyone else quickly folded after that.
On the next hand, O'Brien raised to 8,000 from the cutoff seat and Michael Quibble called from the big blind to see the flop come down . Quibble checked and O'Brien bet 6,800. Quibble came back with a check-raise to 18,000, but O'Brien didn't back down. He reraised to 31,200. Quibble gave it up and O'Brien scooped the pot.
