Sabat Shines at Showdown
Jim Collopy opened to 825 from late position, and Eddy Sabat used his button to come along with the call.
It was heads up to the flop, and both players checked to see the land on fourth street. Collopy took his cue to bet 1,575 at the pot, and Sabat bumped it up to 3,200. Collopy called, and the filled out the board. It went check-check on the river, and there was some friendly discussion about who had to show first. Sabat nipped the conversation in the bud as he tabled , and Collopy mucked.
Sabat couldn't find his straight or his flush (or the ol' straight-flush), but his jacks and nines get the job done, boosting him back to 24,000.
