Tehan Gets 'Em Back

Joe Tehan raised to 135,000 to open the action, and he found a call this time as Ray Henson matched the bet from the big blind.

The two men checked it all the way down as the board ran out {6-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}. Tehan showed his {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} first, and it was the nuts. Henson's cards hit the muck, and Tehan drags some more chips.

Grimes Gets In

Joe Tehan opened the pot to 130,000 on the first hand back, and Al Grimes three-bet all in from the big blind. "About nine," he said. It was 940,000 total, and Tehan could not call, surrendering his cards and sending Grimes up over 1 million again.

"First bluff all day," he said as he stacked the chips.

Break

The remaining seven players are on their first 15-minute break of the day. We'll head to the stage and counts the chips for you. You'll have those in just a few moments.

Tehan and Binger Chop

On the flop of {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Joe Tehan fired 60,000. Michael Binger made the call and the {5-Clubs} was added to the board on the turn. Both players check to see the {5-Spades} pair the board on the river. Both checked again.

The two players wound up chopping the pot after they both showed the same two pair with an ace kicker. Tehan held the {10-Spades}{4-Spades} and Binger the {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Jake Toole Eliminated in 8th Place ($60,000)

Jake Toole - 8th Place
Jake Toole - 8th Place

Jake Toole raised to 115,000 from early position and Joe tehan, who was next to act, three-bet to 300,000. It seems three-bets have taken down a lot of pots lately, and it seemed that might be the case yet again as action folded back to Toole. However, Toole moved all in for 1.455 million more and Tehan called.

Tehan: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Toole: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

It was off to the races for Toole's tournament life. He was ahead but not after the {8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} flop gave Tehan a pair of aces. Toole was in big trouble and needed help. The {9-Hearts} on the turn gave him an open-ended straight draw and a lot more outs. "One time," yelled a Toole supporter in the crowd. The suspense subsided when the {2-Diamonds} peeled off on the river. Tehan won the race, putting him in the chip lead with around 5.5 million, while Toole was eliminated in 8th place.
