Watt Tries to Show the Aces

Robert Watt, on the button, three-bet preflop to 5,500 after a mid-position open from Haji Hussein and a flat call from John Stanton. Hussein rubbed his eyes, then, hand on forehead, counted out a call from his stack of 50,000 and threw it in. Stanton called as well, with what looked like less pain.
The flop: 
. Check to Watt, who continued for 11,000. Both of his opponents folded and he said, "Two red aces," while flipping his hand forward to show them. The cards disobeyed him, however, somehow turning back face down mid-air and landing in the muck.
"I had nines," said Hussein.
