Doebs Spikes the Turn to Finish Off Chilaud

Maxime Chilaud was moved to a new table shortly after taking the big hit against Ermanno Di Nicola and quickly got his last 240,000 in the middle from the cutoff. John Doebs called in the small blind to put him at risk.

It was a classic flip as the flop came J♦10♦10♣, keeping Chilaud in the lead but giving Doebs a flush draw. He completed the flush on the 2♦ turn and smacked the table in celebration.

Chilaud needed to fill up on the river to stay alive but missed the 6♠ as he was sent off to the rail. Tablemate Amir Sonsino then took a photo of Doebs holding up his cards before he collected the pot.

"He had one out," Sonsino said.

"Three. A ten," Doebs pointed out.

Sily Not Laughing About Hamnett's Flopped Set

Maroun Sily raised to 10,000 in the cutoff and Maher Achour called on the button, as did small blind Giorgiy Skhulukhiya. Benjamin Hamnett then three-bet to 50,000 in the big blind.

Sily moved all in for 95,000 and Achour and Skhulukhiya both folded, but Hamnett called to put him at risk.

Sily caught the A♥ in the window, but it was followed by 10♣5♦ as Hamnett flopped a set. Sily picked up a straight draw on the K♣ turn but missed the 4♣ river as Hamnett scored the knockout.

Anar showed A♣A♥ and needed to hold against Mikhael's K♦Q♦. The river, though, was the 2♦ and Mikhael completed his flush to send Anar and his aces crashing out of the tournament.

Hadioglu Leaves Tannoury Dead on the Flop
