Gromov Doubles Through Lybaert

Level 34 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Dmitry Gromov moved all in from the cutoff for 3,200,000 and was called by Bary Lybaert on the button who had a covering stack to put Gromov at risk.

Dmitry Gromov: 1010
Bart Lybaert: JJ

Lybaert had Gromov pipped with a bigger pocket pair and was in an excellent spot to score the knockout. He remained ahead on the 796 flop although Gromov picked up some more outs in the form of a gutshot straight draw. The A turn was a brick but the straight came in on the 8 river and Gromov secured a full double up at Lybaert's expense.

Ketzer Finds the Right Call

Level 34 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Felipe Ketzer opened to 600,000 from under the gun and was called by Dmitry Gromov on the button and Bart Lybaert in the big blind.

The flop came Q73. Lybaert checked, Ketzer bet 425,000, Gromov raised to 1,000,000, Lybaert got out of the way and Ketzer called.

Both remaining players checked the 5 turn leading to the 9 river. Ketzer checked and Gromov bet 500,000.

Ketzer used a time extension before ultimately making the call. Gromov showed 98 for a pair of nines while Ketzer turned over QJ for a pair of queens to take a healthy pot while leaving Gromov with just under 11 big blinds.
