The race to the money bubble will be on when Day 3 of the Merit Poker Retro Series $2,200 Warmup will begin at noon local time. At the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino, 809 entrants have been registered for this first event of the festival. After Day 2, 156 players remain, all striving to reach the money. A total of 98 players will be paid and share the $1,124,240 prize pool, with a minimum cash of $2,830.
However, for some players, their minds are already on the first-place prize of $264,400. At the start of Day 3, it is Erdal Gulseven who is the closest to this prize as he is the chipleader with 1,408,000 chips. Behind him, players like Giorgiy Skhulukhiya (1,291,000), Hadi Khadra (1,247,000), and Michael Allen (1,232,000) are also in the running. Ten other players with more than one million chips are also in the race for the win.
