Kalkan Talks, Ossip Walks

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Kevin Ossip

Ismail Kalkan opened for 1,200 from middle position and Kevin Ossip three-bet to 3,500 from the cutoff. Action folded around back to Kalkan who immediately began to talk.

"Three thousand, five hundred huh? What should I do with this?" He then squeezed his cards in the dealer's direction.

"You can't show her your cards," Ossip responded.

"Oh! So you're scared huh? This means I should..." as Kalkan reached towards his blue chips, motioning that he was about to go all in. Ossip made a "come on" motion with his hands.

"... Just call" and Kalkan put in the additional chips.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} and both players quickly checked.

The turn brought the {k-Spades} and Gabriel Akiki became a very interested spectator. "Action is about to go down." Ossip put out a bet of 7,000 and Kalkan made a relatively quick call. Akiki turned towards PokerNews and said "See! I told you!" and called for a queen to arrive on the river.

The river instead brought the {5-Spades} and Kalkan checked over to Ossip, who assessed his options and eventually let out a sigh and tapped the table, saying "ace-king" and flipped over the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Kalkan said "you're good" and Ossip scooped a healthy pot to take his stack to more than 50% above starting.
