Alahwal Gives Most of It Back

Level 2 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

George Alahwal, who doubled up off the since departed Afshin Afsharorumieh earlier in the day, bet 3,500 from the hijack on a flop of {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and was called by a player in the cutoff.

Maximiliano Gallardo, who took Afsharorumieh's old seat, then raised to 15,000 and only Alahwal called. The turn came the {k-Clubs} and Gallardo bet another 30,000.

Alahwal snap-called as the {6-Clubs} fell on the river. Gallardo shoved all in for 39,800 and Alahwal didn't take too long before committing the chips.

Gallardo showed {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the flopped straight and Alahwal was forced to show {j-Clubs}{8-Spades} for two pair before handing over most of his once-big stack.
