The Master Classics of Poker (MCOP) is one of the longest-running live poker tournament series held in Holland Casino Amsterdam. With two days already in the books, it´s time for the €4,300 Main Event of the 27th MCOP today at 2 p.m. local time.
Last year´s edition was won by none other than Claas Segebrecht. He took down the Main Event for no less than €235,087 after beating a field of 285 entrants. Previous winners of the Master Classics of Poker Main Event include Jussi Nevanlinna (2015, €300,000), Ruben Visser (2014, €225,000), and Noah Boeken (2013, €306,821). Ole Schemion took home the trophy in 2012 when the buy-in of the Main Event was €5,250. Schemion won €286,200 after he left 211 players behind him.
Main Event
Players will start the tournament with a stack of 30,000. The first level of the tournament will be 100/100 without an ante. The second level will be 100/100 but with a 100 ante. For the first time in the history of the Master Classics of Poker, the tournament will be played with a big blind ante. Blinds increase every 60 minutes on the starting days on November 23rd and November 27th. Players are allowed to re-enter every flight once and they have the option to do that once more at the start of Day 2.
The PokerNews team will be present to provide updates from start to finish as well as from the €25,500 Super High Roller that will be played out on Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25. The Main Event kicks off at 2 p.m. local time.

The ¨shuffle up and deal¨ has been announced and the cards are in the air for the €4,300 Main Event of the Master Classics of Poker in Holland Casino Amsterdam. There are about thirty entries at the start of the day, but that number is expected to grow quite a bit with registration open until the start of Day 2.

The tournament has only been going on for eight minutes and the players all started with 300 big blinds in front of them. Uri Reichenstein is the only player in the tournament who has 600 big blinds already, while Andrea Ricci only has 600 chips left.
Reichenstein had in front of him and his Ricci had when the board was reading . Ricci immediately got up and walked away from the table, despite having 600 chips left.

The player from the under-the-gun +1 position raised to 300 and Tobias Peters called from the cutoff, as did Uri Reichenstein from the small blind.
The flop came down and all three players checked to see the turn. It checked to Peters and he fired a bet of 700 this time. Reichenstein called and the other player got away.
The river completed the board and Reichenstein check-called a bet of 1,600 from Peters, but he mucked his cards when he saw the Dutchman open up for the nuts.

Andrea Ricci almost lost his entire stack in the first eight minutes of the tournament but he already made use of the option to reenter. The tournament allows for one reentry per flight.
Ricci raised at his new table to 300 from the cutoff, but big blind Steven van Zadelhoff three-bet to 1,100. Ricci threw away his cards, sending the pot to Van Zadelhoff.
