Lakemeier Busts in Big Hand
As we arrived, the full board was already out and Jens Lakemeier already had all of his chips in the middle. Dutch bracelet winner Marcel Vonk, who wasn't involved in the hand, got up and told us what had happened leading up to the push.
Martin Kabrhel had raised the cutoff to 6,000 and the button had called. Lakemeier over called from the big blind.
All three players checked the flop of and the on the turn. The on the river ignited some action, though. Lakemeier checked and Kabrhel bet a mere 3,000. Kabrhel's neighbor on the button raised to 24,500 and Lakemeier pushed for 99,600. Kabrhel took his time but folded and the action was on the button.
The button tanked for some minutes before the clock was called on him. With just a few seconds remaining, he called.
Lakemeier showed the first but the way he showed it resulted in everyone knowing there was just a blank to follow and not a card that made a full house or quads. Lakemeier followed the revelation of the with the for just trips. The button showed and scooped the pot as Lakemeier departed.
