De Rooij Doing Well

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Thomas de Rooij, who finished fourth in this years EPT Barcelona Main Event for €535,100, is off to a good start. Not too long ago, he busted a player to get up to 75,000.

After a raise to 525 and a call, De Rooij from the small blind squeezed to 2,100. The big blind called and both other players involved called as well to make it 4-handed.

The flop came {A-}{Q-}{3-Diamonds} with two diamonds total and action checked around. The {3-Hearts} hit the turn, making for a second flush draw. De Rooij bet 4,500 and two folds later, action was on the last player. That player raised to 13,000 and De Rooij called.

The river came an off suit {7-} and De Rooij checked. His opponent shoved all in and De Rooij called with {Q-}{Q-}. His opponent showed {J-Diamonds}{10-} for a missed draw and De Rooij collected the pot.
