Casino de Marrakech Is Ready for Marrakech Poker Open Main Event Day 1b
The beautiful Casino de Marrakech at the Es Saadi resort is ready for Day 1b of the Marrakech Poker Open Main Event. After 143 players joined proceedings yesterday, plenty more will jump into the field to start their journey to become the latest MPO champion.
They'll all be wanting to bag plenty of chips ahead of Day 2, but Diego Sarmiento is the man to catch after bagging up a mammoth 538,500 in chips from his 30,000 starting stack.
Like yesterday, players will have eleven 45-minute levels on Day 1b, with late registration open for ten of them. There will be 15-minute breaks after Level 3 and 6, with a 60-minute dinner break after Level 9.
Plenty of big names are expected to be in the field after the conclusion of the High Roller yesterday. It's French notable player Paul Tedeschi who claimed the trophy and DH 700,000 (€70,000) after a long battle that lasted until 5 a.m., defeating Samir Bouleliou heads-up for DH 450,000 (€45,000) while Gaëlle Baumann finished in fifth place for a DH 168,000 (€16,800) consolation prize.
